Women’s Only 1-Day Skills Camp
We will be together for some of the activities, but will be breaking up into two skill level groups for the majority of the day. Even when activities seem the same, terrain challenges will make the level learning opportunity skill appropriate.
Please see the two lesson plans for these groups, but we will change the lesson plan to what YOU want to cover!
Beginner Group

9:00 Easy morning ride (incl. Safety Check Lesson then Warm-up and stretch)
9:30 Fundamentals Part 1: Shifting & braking and Body position: hovering & Anticipation Intro
10:30 Snack
10:45 Fundamentals Part 2: Climbing and Descending – finding your balance
12:00 Lunch & Free Time (must provide your own lunch)
1:00 Intro to Cornering (drills)
1:30 slow speed maneuvering & balance (a “slow race” and “dab”)
2:30 Snack
2:45 Obstacles (The basics, includes drills and some “real life” practice!)
3:00 Review & Relax! An easy ride to “pull it all together”
4:00 Polo Match!
4:30 Stretch, relax & awards! Thanks for participating in our camp program!

1:00 all about turns – fast, tight, switchback, up & downhill (incl. drills)
2:00 slow speed maneuvering & balance (incl. Dab)
2:30 Snack
2:45 Obstacles (Starts with drills & progresses to difficult on-trail obstacles)
3:15 Ride & learn- ride the trail to those “tough to master” spots. Learn and ride!
4:00 Polo Match!
4:30 Stretch, relax & awards! Thanks for participating in our camp program!
What to bring to camp:
- Bike Helmet – Rentals available.
- Mountain Bike – in good working condition. Rentals available.
- Water bottle with a bicycle cage or a hydration pack
- Snack is provided, but those w/ special dietary needs or tastes should bring their own
- Lunch
- Adequate apparel (bike shorts are highly recommended!) including rain gear, some extra layers and A COMPLETE SET OF DRY CLOTHES
- A towel for “cleaning” yourself off
- An old tee shirt and tooth brush for cleaning the bike
- Bug repellant
- Sun screen
- A watch
